Day 1: New York City – Depart Batavia early a.m. by deluxe motorcoach to arrive in New York City early afternoon and board the Carnival Radiance for a 4:00 p.m. departure.
Day 2: Day at sea – Spend the day getting acquainted with the ship. Relax with a drink in the atrium or explore the ship’s outdoor areas. Enjoy your time lounging by the three pools or by taking in the outdoor entertainment. After dining in one of the many casual or formal restaurants, you can catch a Las Vegas-style show or try your luck in the casino.
Day 3: Boston, Massachusetts – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Take a stroll along Boston’s fabled Freedom Trail. Walk by Paul Revere’s house, past the Old North Church and right up to the Bunker Hill Monument. Also, see the Kennedy Library and the historic Boston Harbor. The city epitomizes America and its early beginnings with a history unparalleled in the United States.
Day 4: Portland, Maine – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Explore Portland, rich with colonial history. Be charmed by the redbrick buildings in town. Along the shore, the rugged coastline is impressive. Take a walk along its wood-planked wharf and through its Victorian downtown. More than just its hearty connection to the wild nature surrounding it, get a palpable sense of something unique to most of Maine’s history. Portland has its modern cosmopolitan side, but underneath that – at its very core, in the hand-laid bricks and carefully carved bell tower, feel the sheer struggle and pride of ancestors that helped put this country on the map.
Day 5: Saint John, New Brunswick – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM – If you’ve never seen a reverse waterfall, you should visit Saint John, New Brunswick. Rich in history, this nearly 400-year-old harbor town is located at the mouth of the St. John River on the Bay of Fundy. The phenomenon of the Reversing Falls is caused by the tremendous rise and fall of the tides of the Bay of Fundy, which is the highest in the world.
Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia – 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM – Shop for exotic art and explore the “Land of Evangeline” or visit the famous Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse. The Mi’kmaq, the Scots, the Irish and the early Acadians, have called Halifax their home. This culture is reflected in their folk arts and crafts.
Day 7: Day at Sea
Day 8: New York City – Disembark AM -Ship arrives at 8:00 A.M. Disembark the Carnival Radiance and board our motorcoach for return to Batavia. Meal stop in route at your expense. Arrive in Batavia early evening
